How HAULWEIGH OmniLink handles Bluetooth axle-sensor readings, calibration information and optional location data to help you monitor estimated truck weight.

Effective date: 22 October 2026App: HAULWEIGH OmniLinkVersion: 1.0.0

01 / Overview

A clear view of your data

HAULWEIGH OmniLink (the “App”) is designed to connect to multiple compatible Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) sensors installed around a truck's axles. The App uses sensor measurements and your calibration settings to calculate and display estimated truck weight and payload information.

This Privacy Policy explains the categories of information the App may access and process, why the information is needed, your choices, and how to contact us. In this Policy, “we” and “our” refer to HAULWEIGH, the provider of the App.

At a glance
Bluetooth sensorsConnects to axle-mounted sensors and reads measurements for weight estimation.
Optional locationCan associate position with weight or trip logs where that feature is enabled and permitted.
Camera for QR codesUses the camera when you choose to scan a sensor QR code.

02 / Information

Information the App may process

The information depends on the features you use and the permissions you grant. It can include:

CategoryExamplesPurpose
Bluetooth sensor dataNearby and connected sensor identifiers, device names, connection status and measurements transmitted by axle sensors.Discover, identify, connect to and monitor compatible sensors.
Calibration & vehicle configurationSensor-to-axle assignments, calibration inputs and values, and vehicle setup information you provide.Calculate meaningful weight estimates for your truck configuration.
Weight informationLive estimated weights and, where you use logging, saved measurements and timestamps.Show readings, support review and maintain weight history.
Location data, if enabledDevice coordinates and related timestamps associated with a weight or trip record.Attach position context to the records you choose to log.
QR code informationSensor identification details read from a QR code using the camera.Make sensor setup and identification easier.

Note: A truck's sensor identifiers, time-stamped logs and location history may become personal information when they can be linked to a driver, operator or vehicle. We treat that information accordingly where applicable.

03 / Permissions

Device permissions

The App requests or uses device access for its relevant functions. You can manage app permissions through your iOS or Android device settings.

Bluetooth

Used to scan for, connect to and communicate with compatible BLE axle sensors. Without Bluetooth access, live sensor monitoring will not operate.

Location

Used where you enable location-based weight or trip logging. Location is accessed only subject to permissions granted by your device. If background logging is available in your version, enabled by you, and separately permitted by the operating system, location access may continue while the App is not visible. Some Android versions may also require a location permission to discover nearby Bluetooth devices.

Camera

Used when you choose to scan a sensor QR code. Camera access supports code reading; it is not required merely to view existing weight estimates.

04 / Use

How we use information

The App uses the information described above to:

  • Find and maintain connections to multiple compatible truck axle sensors.
  • Read sensor values and apply the calibration and vehicle settings you configure.
  • Display estimated truck weight and related payload information.
  • Support sensor identification, configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Save or display weight records and optional location details when those features are used.
  • Respond to support or privacy requests if you contact us.

05 / Retention

Storage and data retention

The App can maintain configuration information, calibration values and weight-related records on your device. These records are used to support app functions and may remain available until you delete them, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App, depending on the feature and your device's backup settings.

Uninstalling the App or clearing its local storage generally removes app-specific local information, but it does not necessarily remove copies you have exported or that are held in device backups. Any information you separately send to us, such as a support email, may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request and meet applicable obligations.

If we introduce cloud syncing, remote account storage or other off-device retention of sensor or location records, we will update this Policy to explain what is stored, for how long, and how to request deletion.

06 / Disclosure

Sharing and third-party services

The App's core sensor-reading and weight-estimation functions do not, by themselves, require you to publish your truck data to other users. If you choose to export or send information through another app or service, the destination you choose may handle it under its own privacy practices.

If we use third-party providers to support features such as cloud services, diagnostics or customer support, this Policy will identify those providers and the relevant information they receive. We may also disclose information where required by applicable law or to protect legal rights.

07 / Control

Your choices and privacy requests

  • Manage access: You can change Bluetooth, camera and location permissions using your device settings. Disabling access may prevent related features from working.
  • Choose location features: Where location-tagged logging is available, you can choose whether to enable it and revoke the applicable permission later.
  • Remove local information: Use an in-app delete or reset function if one is provided, or clear app data or uninstall the App. Be aware that device backups and exports may be separate.
  • Ask for assistance: Contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information we hold, or to raise a privacy concern, subject to applicable law.

08 / Protection

Information security

We aim to protect the information handled through the App using safeguards appropriate to the information and the features provided. The security of locally stored information also depends on your device, its operating system, its access controls, and any backups or exports you enable.

No device, wireless connection or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. We recommend keeping your phone and App updated and using a device passcode or biometric lock.

09 / Age

Children's privacy

HAULWEIGH OmniLink is intended for professional drivers, vehicle operators and fleet personnel. It is not designed or marketed for use by children. If you have concerns about a child's personal information in connection with the App, please contact us.

10 / Updates

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App, its features or applicable requirements change. The latest policy will be available at the published policy URL, and the effective date above will be revised when we make updates.
